🚨Not everyone knows how to deploy a server, but everyone can run an app on their phone⚡️
We've teamed up with Spiral & LDK and began working on the BTCPay App.
Aiming to replicate the success and impact of the BTCPay Server for e-commerce payments, the BTCPay App is laser-focused on brick-and-mortar business.
To scale #bitcoin effectively, lightning must be user-friendly and non-custodial for mom-and-pop stores!
We're beginning a long journey, but it's the only way to stay on track with our mission -ensuring anyone can accept bitcoin, anywhere, anytime without intermediaries. 🚀

Thank you all for the great times at HodlHodl Baltic Honey Badger!
Every year special things happen in Riga, and #bh2023 was not an exception. If anything... there will be even more afterglow to process.
Let's continue advancing #Bitcoin and #nostr and see you at #bh2024!
Getting to contribute to organization of #NostrRockamotoRiga was true highlight.
@Muzz, @Marce, @Anna ⚡️ and the rest of the team knocked it out of the park! Everyone I spoke with loved the party.
I hope we get a chance to do another party soon!
#NostrRockamotoRiga ended up being so great that I kinda sabotaged @BTCPay Server Day on Sept 4th.
People needed to recover from partying the night before, so even though program began at noon, most of the crowd only started showing up after 3 PM 😂
I loved how the BTCPay Day turned out though - amazing presentations were delivered by team members and our guests made the whole experience more special.
All rounded up with BTCPay Announcement!

You guys are awesome - I'm looking at the best way to host/deploy a BTCpay server instance instance atm so I can access it from my webserver - as far as I can tell there's a few good options but do you have a specific recommendation?

Awesome!
is this app opening/closing LN channels directly with the consumer for every transfer? if not, then there are intermediaries.
Congrats and I love this video 👌
Smells like winning to me.

I actually set one up today using luna node (which is well detailed in the docs). It’s cheap and you can pay in bitcoin. 🤙
Is this written in C# as well?
👏🧡
Cheers for the recommendation I'll check'em out
damnnnn sounds awesome
This is 🔥🔥🔥

🔥
LFG!
Embrace the challenge, find strength within, and conquer the task.
Is this just like the Breez lightning App POS feature or are you adding features like;
* Preauthorized transactions similar to bar tabs on Visa.
* Integration with POS terminals like Square and Toast.
* Direct conversion to fiat for those that don't want to deal with the tax implications.
* transaction exports for popular accounting software?
LFG bitches

That was my question too 😂
Is it going to run over nostr? It should! Define a few nips in the process for other app-run services to follow
This is pretty huge actually; non-custodial, #SMB and merchant-focused app by BTCPay Server . It’s felt like we’re an iteration or two away from some easy apps for business adoption, and this looks like a great result!

Looks like it is
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥
Great 🔥I am looking forward to it.
One small step for dev, one giant leap for mankind.
I've spent a decade in the payments/ acquiring side of CC processing. This is excellent and going to serve a lot of folks.
This is gonna be GREAT!!!
i was trying to clarify language used to advertise the product.
if routing a payment requires using other channels and nodes, then there are intermediaries.
if it's expensive and "bad UI" to avoid (what should be unnecessary) intermediaries on LN, it's a bad network.
i understand this, but you've glossed over my point.
with LN routing, i have no control over the final route, my payment can go through any number of nodes, those nodes can charge me to use their liquidity.
it may seem like this process solves problems, but they are problems that could be avoided in the first place, by using a less abstract layer of Bitcoin, or an alternative.
additionally, i *should* know who i'm paying beforehand, even if it is with Lightning. i should be able to plan and open/close channels for myself, choose which nodes i connect to, without rent-seekers imposing themselves on my payment.
