Honest question: why do I need a bitcoin wallet inside signal?
Isn't it much better to have a wallet that is a wallet and a messenger that is a messenger?
Don't we increase the attack surface when we increase functionalities?

Asking the right question. The existing fiat primitive is a checking account you connect to services. Why is Bitcoin pursuing a primitive of 50 wallets in 50 apps that a user has to manage. Cognitive load, anyone?
Because everybody has absolutely forgotten the Unix philosophy.
It's so scammers can steal your identity and your money at the same time.
