Our minds are easily hijacked by things or people that we violently disagree with - strengthening them by our focus. If that works for you, continue…. But, if you focus on the best in people and the world you want, it too will expand, and everything else will fade out. #Bitcoin #Nostr

Yes to this. I try my best to always focus on the good and my vision. Everything else is often a distraction 💯

Yes! One of my favourite speeches I always amke my students watch is the same idea... it is a commencement speech by Steve Jobs... and he tells the story of dropping out of the requilsite college classes so he could begin "dropping in" to the classes and things he actually wanted. One was calligraphy. Which years later he remembered and used to design the first Apple font. Love the idea of just focusing on what you like and how you want the world to look, and to block out the noise. Highly recommend this speech to anyone.
It’s far worse than people think because with the centralization of platforms and AI, the platforms incentive is to monetize this divide and reinforce it, making it seem “more” real important in people minds. As AI advances, it will get worse as people lose touch of what is real. That is why protocols like #Nostr are important.
Did you mean “… if you focus on the best people” ? There are good people with great intentions but too much time seems to be wasted on dragging them along, forever fighting the inevitable. It’s the great balancing act of our time!
Perhaps. It's also important to find those who disagree with you to test your beliefs in battle. If it's not battle-tested, it's not sufficient to live by.
You can witness what your mind is doing. The more you witness, the less it can hijack you. Then you come to the realisation that you are not your mind. The mind is just a tool and you are here on this planet for a purpose and eventually you know who you are. You are a spiritual being in human form. Death is not real for a spiritual being. It all starts with witnessing aka meditation.
Once upon a time, in the depths of the human psyche, there existed a powerful force known as the Ego. It resided within every person, lurking within the shadows of their minds, ready to assert itself at a moment's notice. The Ego was an enigmatic entity, driven by a desire for recognition, validation, and self-importance. The Ego reveled in the spotlight, craving attention and admiration from others. It constantly sought to be the center of attention, believing that its thoughts, desires, and accomplishments were of utmost significance. It was a master of self-preservation, always seeking to protect its fragile sense of self-worth. As the Ego grew stronger, it started to overshadow other aspects of the human psyche. It became domineering, overpowering the more humble and compassionate qualities within individuals. It fed on praise and flattery, using them as fuel to inflate its own sense of superiority. However, the Ego's reign was not without consequence. Its insatiable hunger for recognition blinded individuals to the needs and perspectives of others. It created a veil of self-centeredness that hindered genuine connections and understanding. Relationships became transactional, driven by the Ego's need for validation rather than true compassion. But as the Ego reached its peak, cracks began to form. Its constant pursuit of external validation left individuals feeling hollow and unsatisfied. They realized that the Ego's demands were insatiable, and no amount of praise could fill the void within. They yearned for something more meaningful, a connection that transcended the superficial desires of the Ego. In moments of reflection, individuals started to glimpse the detrimental effects of the Ego's dominance. They saw the pain it caused, the barriers it erected, and the isolation it fostered. It became clear that there was a need for balance and harmony within the human psyche. Slowly but surely, individuals began to cultivate self-awareness and humility. They learned to recognize the Ego's influence and to temper its demands. They embraced their vulnerability and embraced the interconnectedness of humanity. The Ego, once a tyrant, was now a smaller part of a greater whole. With time, the Ego transformed from a force of egocentricity to one of self-confidence and healthy self-esteem. Individuals embraced their unique qualities without needing constant external validation. They celebrated their accomplishments with gratitude rather than arrogance. The Ego became a servant rather than a master. And so, the story of the Ego teaches us that while a healthy sense of self-worth is important, the unchecked dominance of the Ego can hinder personal growth, relationships, and the capacity for genuine empathy. Through self-awareness and a shift towards humility, individuals can find a more harmonious and fulfilling existence, where the Ego finds its rightful place among the other facets of the human psyche.
KOHRRECKT. We see what we expect to see to reinforce that which we wish … to reinforce …
