Yeah, it feels like certain descriptions have been standardised for too long to change it to the more accurate ones. We should all use the term timechain as well, as to separate our association further from bLoCkChAinlN tEcHnOlOgY hucksters.
While we are at it, why do they call it an address? Every normies thinks of an address as a static piece of information. You don't create new.mailing addresses every time you want a package delivered. You don't give out a new email address every time you want to correspond with someone. Why not invoice id?

Please also add "public locks" and "private keys". I've never met a newbie who understood the concept of having a public key AND a private key. I know it's never going to happen because it's so widespread, also outside of bitcoin, but a man can dream!

Yea wallet is pretty boomer name for a stack of UTXOs 😅 Still I think the term “hardware wallet” is written pretty deep. How would you encourage others to change the terminology?

Yea true, but the word "wallet" seems to be excessively used too, be it whatever hardware devices or whatever clients/apps. In fact, they're existed to hold our keys or sign transactions for the sake of convenience. But again the word "wallet" is needed for the new peeps and may be confusing at the beginnin', totally agree.
It’s always good to see you.☀️🌬️✨💋🦁🫂💖

Wallets is easier to explain for newbies though
Are those wallets? Of course not! That'll be dumb. They are called digipass, authenticator, or signer. Would you call those ones wallets? Of course not! That's dumb.
