We don't have a gas generator, although we've been talking about it for a while. What we do have are a bunch of these power banks that we use to generate our own power, both in emergencies and for day to day use to be more self-reliant.
I think its a great idea to keep some of these around to be self-soverign in your energy consumption. I'm not an affliate. Just making a recommendation.

That's a solid looking box!
We have this one for the fridge and freezers. We have smaller 300 watt ones for lights, fans, charging phones, laptops, the blower on the wood stove, etc. And two 1000 watts. One for internet devices and servers, one for kitchen appliances I can't live without. 😆
