We need to take back news and social from scare tactics and fear mongering.
The sad reality that algorithms on major social platforms serve the advertisers and other corporate interests rather than the end user. If nostr wants to differentiate itself even further as a place of freedom of expression, then any algorithms created ought to serve the user’s needs and be easily disabled or swapped.
Or there will be an AI version for the latest pump and dump shitcoin, which is "going to teh moon".

To be fair, these thumbnails make me want to watch it, unlike Netflix's thumbnails that make me want to keep looking for something more exciting to watch.
I actively avoid any video with clickbaity thumbnails such as these, I absolutely dispise it. Also those where the host has a open mouth like they're surprised or something.

what i find most anoying is how hard is to find videos of interviews in the sea of click bait tittles of cuts from actual interviews
There's a cool extension for YouTube that will automatically change the thumbnails to a frame from a random timestamp of the video.
I'd also imagine pretty soon AI will make a lot of the clickbait stuff less effective since summarization of content appears to be something this current iteration of ai is quite good at.

I heard a human is 10x times more likely to click a negative article headline than a positive one. This applies to all mainstream media, not only social media. You could also extend it to the complete society of people trying to round their agenda by selling it and introducing fear.
Adding "nostr:" in front of note seems to work in many clients, in this case:

I really dislike social media algorithms and incentives. Negative stuff is what sells.
There are so many times where I sit down with a good host and have a thoughtful discussion about macro finance, and then the Youtube title and thumbmail that their producer makes is some version of me smiling next to a terrible headline and often something on fire or blowing up.
Algorithms are literally changing how people make music (no / shorter intros because otherwise the song gets skipped, shorter tracks so you can make more money on plays in the same time frame, ...)
Be the change in the world.
Don’t create shitty click bait sensational headlines because it triggers people for views.
Create quality positive value driven content because we want to see more of it.
I don’t create any YouTube headlines. These are made by dozens of different channels that interview me.
