Becuase people who use #Amethyst need a seperate wallet they either zap and need to open the other app which people get tired of, or use Alby Connect but again not everybody wants to do that so they just 'like' and dont zap.
i assume #amsthyst has a huge user base.
NWC for the win. I use Amethyst and don't even have to open another app. I do run a lightning node though, so there's that.
but thats kinda my point.
Does Damus have a built in wallet? Primal is good for zapping but not #amethyst because users are lazy (im speaking for myself) i dont want to run a node and set all this stuff up.

Because I use Amethyst and I find it a pain to always have to open another app to zap. Otherwise I would zap all the time.

I probably zap less than before (than a year ago). I’ll zap npubs I’ve known for a while rather than zappjng everyone, like before. Or I’ll zap a dev when a cool new feature comes out.

Im 4000 sats short of being able to host my own channel on electrum. I need to have at least 200k i only have 196k.

Lol my content cant even get a like. A woman can post a picture of her toe and get 50 likes. I can write 4 paragraphs of my deepest thoughts and not even get one like.
It takes up to a minute to zap someone with my wallet loading. Too much time
Im fully de-googled and working on linux and ubuntu touch. So its a little harder... But my bigest road block is the 4000 sat shortage. Ive acumulated all my btc dust into one wallet and am so close to being able to zap.

Nostr user here that does not use lightning. If I could I would zap you some Lightcoin. 😜 But alas, Nostr does not support that.
You don't have to run a node with amethyst to have one click zaps.
Nwc allows a "one click zap" experience without leaving the app.
It's up to you what type of wallet you connect to via the nwc.
This is absolutely amazing, I am sorry I didn't have the time yesterday to fully respond. The attention economy is in full swing time for it to be brought to nostr.
I remember when I first got here I zapped Dorsey he zappedr back. I bought his attention with a zap it was very cool. If we can create more zappers a larger economy can grow.

iPhone makes it a pain with wallet connection to apps.
Which client are you using?
Which do you recommend for zapping on iOS? It used to be so easy with Damus, until they had to remove the feature. Primal seems to want KYC info.

I finaly connected my Alby extension with NOSTR and Blink wallet (where I was already receiving my zap).
I guess I missed the option the first time I tried because of the way it's name in french. Ahah
