The Core vs. Knots battle is like two groups of game developers arguing over how to make the best version of Bitcoin.
Core wants to keep things safe and steady, while Knots wants to try new stuff and give users more options.
Both care about Bitcoin, but they have different styles. It’s less about fighting and more about debating what’s best for the future of digital money.

It's actually the other way around. Core wants to simplify the node code and Knots wants to keep the old behavior.
False, Core is hastily making a change that will increase spam. And Knots is encouraging to just leave the filter alone, at least for now. I lean Knots.
Very wrong. All of it. Sorry and best wishes, rod, you're probably a great dude, but this isn't right.
Knots wants to keep bitcoin as it is ; Core wants to add bells and whistles. Adding bells and whistles is fine for fiat world, but in the realm of engineering there's a common phrase : "keep it simple, stupid" (the kiss method). Adding stuff breaks stuff.
No this is good and enlightening. I have not spend time to understand so now I am making an effort. Asking here reveals confusion in the field and wrong assumptions.
