why is it that this seems to be the era of wrapping all predictions, warnings and bull cases in "humans can't anticipate exponentials"?
on the one hand, i agree that that's true about people (like Booth's paper folding example), and that the implications are important. but at the same time, it feels over-used. ...or is it the case that there are very many exponentials converging around the same time?
