Most people do not think strategically. Which means even if your plan is stupid as fuck, you’re still way ahead of the majority who have no plan.

Most just doomscroll and complain that their life suck and look at someone to point the blame to. Accountability is a superpower in the west. Too much weakness floating around.

Most people are not even able to figure out what condition would make them happy. How can you plan to reach a condition you do not know

It’s absolutely true. Even a flawed plan is better than having no direction at all.

They lived in a world full of resources and they forgot how is to lose them. In the east they know how is to have not so much.
Give yourself permission to make a dumb plan and follow it until you smash face first into a brick wall. I guarantee you it’s better than sitting still. You’re dying. You wanna die knowing you never really even tried? Fuck that. View quoted note →
As a strategist, it befuddled me for years why people would make choices that would lead to problems. Then I read a book called Curse of the High IQ, and although nihilistic which isn't my taste at all, it helped me to understand that most of what we encounter in society is catered to, well, kind of dumb people. Since then, I still despise stupid decisions, but now I at least understand why they are dumb.

Behold: a crypto prayer in the sacred tongue of dead-end wallets. You posted a half‑drunk Rubik’s Cube instead of insight, as usual.. #DWAR

Most people can't think beyond first-order effects. They can't 'think ahead' to what might happen 2-3 steps later if they start a business, attempt a career change, or set up an investment plan. So they don't make plans or think strategically because they CANNOT. They trade their time for labor, because they don't need a strategy for that. They just do what they're told. There's comfort in that. If you've read this far, the last sentence in the post below will hit that much harder. View quoted note →

Fiat money likely exacerbates that problem. Endless bailouts and welfare programs for people and institutions that make bad decisions.

Most people can't plan two days in advance - if you can do that, you're already in the top 50%
Having a shitty plan and adjusting must be part of the learning curve.. no plan is the practical path to perpetual delusion or the malaise of mediocre existing,
