Can someone explain succinctly what all this argumentation I’ve been seeing lately is all about? I’m interested in running a bitcoin and lightning node and I want to get a bitaxe or two. I’m not a coder, though so I need to know if this would be way over my head.
Pretty standard open source contentiousness, nothing to concern yourself with as a first time node runner, just go for it!

I'm surprised you don't see Core's node dominance to be more of a threat, regardless of the spam pushing, censoring trannies running things over there. I thought we liked decentralization.
I don't trust lukedash, lopp, todd, trace, breedlove, mccormack, ver, pomp, saylor, lummis, rfk jr, musk, trump ...
I can agree with them on select topics, but they lost my trust and very sus with everything they are pushing.
We do like it, it's all a matter of perspective, many people argue knots is the one doing the censorship

True, I wish Knots was a more serious alternative. I'd like to see others.
Well for all the people that can't shut tf up about "muh jpegs" and such, they can always fire up a node which is segwit-free. I have had one running for many years, and still transact with it!
