Supply and demand - If the US (or Germany, etc) wants to dump #Bitcoin for political points and it moves the price (relative to fiat) in the short term, can you imagine what happens as more people realize its importance and competitively accumulate?

As much as we don’t want to see them dump their bags I think we all agree it’ll get absorbed and come back because that’s what it does and will demonstrate even more strength.

Just a matter of time until that happens.
Im in it since a very long time, i fail to see BTCs importance more and more. It offers no privacy, gets AML and KYC´ed everywhere, anybody can see your transactions, still has a1mb blocksize, still has high tx fees onchain, is marketed as a store of value now, was a p2p currency once when i got excited about it. Lightning promised and lied a lot and offered very little to scale in a self sovereign way. Now people are stupid enough to want to use Liquid for scaling, a privately owned blockchain with their own shitcoin, which can censor transaction and will do everything the states want them to do... And you have to swap your bitcoin for their controlled shitcoin? Seriously, why is BTC so important? It has lost the properties which made it important and did not adopt features which would make it important, like privacy. CBDCs are coming and instead of helping us avoiding the tyranny, Bitcoiners are simping to politics and dont implement anything interesting because they want the state to buy the thing which should separate the money from the state...

When do you believe having 0.1 BTC will be enough to retire forever Jeff? Huge fan and love everything that you do btw. ❤️
As an early Bitcoiner I was in the same boat. It hurts to re-evaluate ones stance. But I concluded, that Monero is what I signed up for.
Yea it is so sad to realize that the opportunity we had with BTC looks like it will be missed. People will realize the madness of no privacy in a world where they want to force inject you a new experimental gene therapy every now and then only when things in their life gets really bad. I am pretty sure, sooner or later we will have a hard fork with a private version of Bitcoin. It might never become popular but i am confident it will happen sooner or later. But as i am waiting too long for that to happen already, my choice is also XMR.
