Mulling over the differences of Oslo vs. Vegas. In vegas a lot of talks lead you to check the price. Oslo talks remind me why I am a bitcoiner. I did not check the price at all while there. I am not in bitcoin to get rich. But what an amazing side effect that wealth could come from making the world a better place. Bitcoin is truly a rising tide.

Did you do any cooking while you were in Oslo? If so I’m sorry I missed it. I want to do a beefsteak during Arendalsuka (norways largest political conference)
I want to go to Oslo now too. This was the first year I attended the Bitcoin conference. It was strange. I felt like I had gaydar for ride or die freaks. You can totally tell who they are. I just walked up to people who set off my sat-spidey senses waiting for an Uber and said, "Hi. I'm Marc. What's your npub?" They all had one. It was amazing.
It's not us. It's the people who say, "BTC." I couldn't believe how many people were checking the price on their phone while my heros were talking.
Same. That's why I don't tell people about bitcoin anymore. They only want to talk about dollars. That's all they care about. They work jobs they hate until their old for dollars. It's kind of a bummer.

Realising that you are richer from USING Bitcoin rather than HODLing it is a step many Bitcoiners still need to take

Price and freedom go hand in hand. You cant have one without the other in Bitcoin.

This is so interesting. Goes to the idea Jeff Booth talks a lot about. Which system you gonna live in?
