Great job, Square! This is revolutionary.
The leader PoS terminal in Switzerland released an option to pay in Bitcoin (and Ethereum) on more than 1M terminals in 2017 already. After 8 years, less than a dozen merchants activated it... If it's not by default enabled, they will probably never bother to enable it.

Tips are a result of the WWI fiat economy. On a bitcoin standard tipping will fade back to when a unconventional or exceptional service is required.
My bad, it was in 2021 not 2017. And total PoS that can get it was 85'000, not milllions... Sorry I should have made my rese arch before posting, but the overall argument stays the same, nobody enabled it. Article in French: In 2023 they added stableshitcoin USDT. Still never heard of anyone accepting it. Regarding 2017, maybe I got confuse with 2017 (or late 2016) when we could start buying bitcoins at every train ticket machines in Switzerland, still working today, never heard about anyone using it beside "once for a test". The outragous fees are not helping.
