I'm tired of non-Chinese people telling me how China works. I prefer to hear it all from the mouth of a Chinaman, and preferably one who isn't a celebrity and hasn't an agenda

let me introduce @Peter Alexander who's not chinaman but living in china for 30+ years, he could probably tell you some unbiased things👀
there’s plenty of objective evidence that china is an authoritarian surveillance state, and the effects of that on human experience can be deduced. But culturally it seems that most chinese don’t have a problem living like this
