Lots of Greek gyros probably had something to do with it. General it’s a mix of ground beef and ground lamb in American Greek restaurants.
I think I just got used to it and now I appreciate the flavor. Not everyone’s cup of tea though.
looks awesome. i love lamb but only have it maybe once a year or so (because it’s a baby animal). tonight was one of those nights for me too though - used ground lamb for stuffed grape leaves.
