When the majority of medical research is funded by pharmaceutical companies, when medical journals depend on industry advertising revenue (ie big pharma again), when regulatory agencies are staffed by former industry executives, the notion of "evidence-based medicine" becomes a cruel joke. Studies are designed to produce favorable outcomes for profitable interventions. Negative results are suppressed or manipulated. Natural therapies that cannot be patented are systematically excluded from research funding. The result is a body of "scientific literature" that serves corporate interests rather than human health. It's time to opt out of the corrupt and diabolical fiat medicine industrial complex.
