When you do not have all the factors behind the motivations. You have to look at the facts. Is this situation normal? Is this situation dangerous? Does this have the potential to become life threatening? Does this have the potential to become a warzone? Do you want to risk living in a warzone? This is not an easy decision, but it is the right one. At worst this is an over reaction that leads to an impromptu out of state vacation. At best this is the action that saves your life, your spouses life, and your pets life. Choose wisely...

I don’t know where you live, nor do I know where in the entire 500+ square mile are of Los Angeles nostr:npub1ymt2j3n8tesrlr0yhaheem6yyqmmwrr7actslurw6annls6vnrcslapxnz and nostr:npub12r0yjt8723ey2r035qtklhmdj90f0j6an7xnan8005jl7z5gw80qat9qrx live, but I can’t confidently tell someone to leave their home based on what may or may not happen somewhere where I am not. Even during the days and weeks after 9/11, which I lived through in New York, I barely saw any of the area where the attacks happened. It was surprisingly easy to avoid going near it and I never once considered leaving. I understand this is a different situation, but I have been to Los Angeles many times and it’s full of suburban neighborhoods, wide expanses, hilly topography, and freeways that divide the city into sections that are basically unreachable from each other on foot. Unless you live in a part of the city where the actions are taking place, chances are you will not be personally affected by it.
