Two things I want to acknolowdge here: piracy is back. I mean, it never went down but the use of pirate servers and pirate sites were down for the last 8 years...until now. Why? Because Spotify et al. never accomplished their purpose, which is to help artists and content creators to pursue their money and also never accomplished their purpose with users. We (I use Spotify et. al) pay lots of money and have geographical restrictions, limited access and sometimes they put us advertising when we pay against it. So, piracy is not a legal thing, it's an economical information to all the parts. And this is where nostr:nprofile1qyd8wumn8ghj7enpdenxzun9wvhxummnw3erztnrdakj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uqzp47czz0wgdjhees9dtdyv5cqdwakg8e3u58g2fpks8p8y3g8sy0vf86jar comes and makes every artist available to everyone. It's a swicht so powerful, most content creators don't want to understand they're not working for their art but for the industry. They're disposable products because an industry don't understand about soul and creativity. It's a matter of time now to understand that we already won. That's why in Accelerating Bitcoin, I took the value-for-value on stage, so people can understand the importance of being self-custodial of their own product. nostr:naddr1qvzqqqr4gupzqzrpz3x8vh4ppcu6fprn55d7uczgsmsc40g0svwvtmtk28ng5890qyv8wumn8ghj7cmjv4shgu3wdehhxarj9emkjmn99uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcqqucnyv34xcenjxw6rgq And more important, I can't just talk nonsense, I have to give example and that's why my latest book is already at NOSTR, fully...no paywalls, no kyc, no mail, no nothing, just...start reading. nostr:naddr1qvzqqqr4gupzqtlpx9cv5u9y8esf7hnu3zelvz3ahnfnh0pzw3h66ege3pf5rdy3qq2hgdrwdfrk7nfh0fy52afnv3vkgu2pgeck59gx44k We're not here to talk, we're here to build, put the tool and I'll use it. Keep improving sir. Sources for piracy stuff: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2025/aug/14/cant-pay-wont-pay-impoverished-streaming-services-are-driving-viewers-back-to-piracy

It's a cool idea, but I think the biggest thing that leads to piracy is not that people don't want to pay for stuff, it's friction. I think another model should be tested potentially alongside (they're not incompatible) is just a topup system. Which kind of exists already, but it could be marketed as a feature. I don't want to make 100 $1 payments, I just want to budget for entertainment and spend as I go. An ecash based system would work perfectly and it probably would just be buying songs and albums like using Amazon Movies. Just spitballin'.
