I’ve been there. I’ve done that. And I came back knowing exactly what these wars cost. Not the politicians, not the defense contractors. Our youth. This marine said it out loud in the one place that’s “supposed” to matter. And they dragged him out. What pisses me off most isn’t the wars. It’s that more people aren’t awake to this. The machine keeps running because we keep letting it. We need more Devil dogs and Vets showing up and making our point known. Let the uprising begin. image

The hard part is that guys like you went there and did that in the first place. War and glory are tempting to young men(it was tempting to me). I think of the people who are fighting the ears aren't awake to them how can you expect your everyday NPC to care? I think war movies like All Quiet on the Western Front, and Platoon need to be the movies young men watch. Starve the state of money, starve the military of eager soldiers.
Oh I wanted that fight. Bad. But I was also brain washed into a system where I was taught to obey. That system is bigger, stronger and more present than ever. It has real consequences and people don’t understand it.
