I only disagree with the idea that your taxes are a contribution at all. No amount of taxation can ever be a contribution, because nothing the government does is needed.

I don’t think I said they were a contribution? Regardless, taxes are not voluntary, and are extracted under the threat of violence.
"Government workers so contribute net negative taxes."
