I’m competing next weekend. This is my last heavy squat before competition.
175kg > 192.5kg > 205kg
Where the lifters at? Does Nostr have lifting culture?

there are a few of us, but seems far and between or at least those that are outspoken about it.
I upload training to all other socials, I guess I’ll be doing the same here 😂🗿
Bro it's nice to see other stuff on here, we need more fitness feeds on here! We are the algo so that's deff a mutual interest 🫡
Thanks bro 🤝 It’s very likely that in two weeks this will be my only socials account with digital ID coming to Australia so I’ll do my thing to offer something different I guess!
nice, also crazy how these digital IDs are coming in at full force eh?
The saddest part is that a lot of people will have learned nothing from lockdowns and mandatory vaccines and give in without second thought
Herd mentality is a social disorder unfortunately
Good luck for your competition mate. What numbers are you aiming for?
Unfortunately there are not a lot of lifters on Nostr yet. nostr:nprofile1qqsxl84x2fmauvmttxtrdc4sa6w6qm34t6t65mzcfvqplntn9waln3cppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnzd96xxmmfdejhytnnda3kjctv9u4gh2ca is the only one I know who regularly posts videos of his lifts. nostr:nprofile1qqs9et2kzdgfhqpywm8hfpl87hshxcnek3uxk3ecrjny93l2flgl3pspz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzxrhwden5te0d35kw6r5de5kuemjv4kxz7fwvdhk6eegu96 used to post a lot, but she is less active now. There are a few other npubs who write a lot about lifting but rarely post actual gym footage nostr:nprofile1qqsg58qf64jqsl3kxy8zk9g5ly69kg58yk4rq0rf9fpeuzykcxk362qpz3mhxw309ucnydewxqhrqt338g6rsd3e9uq3vamnwvaz7tmwdaehgun9d35hgetn9ehhyee0mh70t0 nostr:nprofile1qqs2p23f2lnpnf6n5t2q2qls3u4x2h50rvxnmnjj7697j7p4l2f9p7cpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqyhuj08. nostr:nprofile1qqs9uavu9jj2fc3zhfa038n07v27r5ncg0lgh59rulnpuja9k8q8xfspz4mhxue69uhkyetkduhxummnw3erztnrdakszxmhwden5te0vf6kx6m9wshxxmmjv93kcefwwdhkx6tpdsq2s33e sometimes posts his home workouts, but also a lot of other stuff.
Thanks for the shoutout. I actually started posting my music stuff over to nostr:npub1tdvuhhjwaczlsdnmgxy8n0fzallnxhjgrsw44aae3hx84ln2lz3q4tqjsm because I am trying to advertise Nostr onto my other platforms like YouTube… and I don’t post any of that other stuff BUT music on those. I figured it would be off putting for normie tube users to try to follow my Nostr for my first post to be a workout post or something about politics when that’s not what they came here for.
All my other content will stay on here though.
Should I post more workouts?
Those squats are looking good. What are aiming to hit for your other lifts?
I haven't recorded any lifts in a while. When I was, I mainly put them on Instagram. Time to stop being camera shy.
Thank you.
Awesome, there’s a few people here that are at least posting about training.
Last heavy week is 205 sq, 142.5 bn, 270 dl. We’ll see how it comes together for the day, but slightly more than those hopefully
I’m carrying an adductor injury, they should be better and heavier tbh 🥲
205 / 142.5 / 270 is the goal for this week. Hopefully slightly more than that on the day
That’s awesome. I don’t do “body building” or weightlifting competitions myself. My training is all functional fitness for the military or martial arts.
I think my best deadlift ever was around 420lbs. But my average max is more in the 380 range, with reps more in the 320s.
Still decent lifts, Strength is all relative. I have my biases obviously, but training is best when you find the modality you enjoy the most
Sorry to hear that. Hope it recovers well enough before your comp
It’s also about goals.
If you’re training to run a marathon, maybe you shouldn’t be putting so much reps into deadlifts and… RUN, instead. lol. I wouldn’t boast my deadlift max at a ping pong tournament or a mud run either if it meant that I sacrificed my agility for that deadlift.
Everything is relative to purpose.
Purple pilling the normies, let's go.
I would love to see more workouts, you and your son make a great team. But please post whatever you feel like, I'm not your boss.
Nice
