Hey there, friend,
If you've found your way here, I want to say welcome — I am really glad you are here.
My name is Anja, and I’m a former corporate type. For years, I was chasing all the usual markers of success: a great salary, professional recognition, financial security. I had no debt, earned well, and managed my money carefully. On paper, everything looked solid.
But I was also exhausted. Burnt out. Living in a one-bedroom rental in the middle of Sydney, wondering why, even after doing everything “right,” it still felt like I was barely getting ahead. I started to ask myself: If this is what it looks like to succeed, why does it still feel so unsustainable?
That question led me somewhere unexpected — into a deeper exploration of money itself. Not just how to budget or invest, but what money really is, how it works, and how it shapes our lives in ways we often don’t see. And what I found changed the way I think about value, work, freedom — and what it means to build a life with intention.
That’s why I created The Honest Money Show. It’s a space to have thoughtful, human conversations about money — not as a tool for getting rich quick, but as something that touches nearly every part of our lives. I’ll be speaking with people who are rethinking the role of money in society — economists, thinkers, builders, and everyday Australians — to explore how we can move toward something more grounded, more honest, and more aligned with what truly matters.
Because it’s not just you. So many people are feeling the pressure — and it’s not a personal failing. It's a sign that the way we think about money deserves a closer look.
This show is about starting that conversation. About reconnecting with values like family, freedom, community, and purpose — the things that make life rich in the ways that really count.
We’re not here to predict markets or sell hype. We’re here to ask better questions, learn together, and hopefully find a bit more clarity in a noisy world.
Thanks for being here.
