I tend to believe that there's a bit of an assumption that being into bitcoin = having expendable funds, which often isn't the case. That leads to some weird social dynamics for all us brokies out here trying to find balance between what we want to do, what we can do, and all the social expectations that come along with the culture.
You're right when you say that everything will adjust. Eventually Nostr will generate a monetary success story but I doubt it'll happen with anything from "the playbook".
