Today will be our 7th Sat Market here in Calgary. Since bootstrapping this local Bitcoin market a couple years ago it has grown into an awesome community that I now feel is becoming self sustaining. Tonight we're expecting between 40-50 vendors and a few hundred people in attendance. Community members now regularly volunteer to help organize, others step up to help with funding (which was out of my own pocket for most of them), and we're beginning to expand into additional community events so it becomes more of an experience. I can't wait to see what's next, and I encourage people to build their own local communities that use Bitcoin as money. It's incredibly rewarding and brings everyone together.
