I historically agree... as both a Christian and a staunch free market capitalist.
But in the coming (presumed) Digital Age--which will be dominated by AI and robotics--humans may not be gainfully employed... and may not have the monetary means to provide material needs to their unemployed neighbor.
Capitalism doesn't work well for humanity if humans are the weak link across all professions, white collar or blue collar.

I don’t buy into this narrative. And I think there is strong historical precedent in the Industrial Revolution to show that fearing mass unemployment due to technological progress (like the Luddites did) misses the creativity and resilience of humans.
Human wants are endless, so if food and shelter becomes increasingly abundant and cheap due to AI and robotics advancements, then humans will simply focus their efforts higher up Maslow’s hierarchy. But these humans will still provide value to other humans who will be willing to pay for that value.
I use AI tools everyday in my software work, but I do not fear that these tools will replace me, just like a carpenter isn’t worried that his nail-gun is going to take his job.
