You have power over this. I don't see ads anywhere except billboards on the road. I build my entire tech around things that block ads. Adblock Plus in web browsers. I don't read or watch mainstream media anything. I run Linux and DeGoogled phones, and use Grayjay to watch videos from YouTube, Rumble, Odysee, etc. I don't use social media except Nostr. On Nostr I only see the posts of those that I follow, so no ads. You can even show up 10 minutes late to a movie to avoid most of the previews.
