slowly becoming a paella maxi after spending a short time in spain

Oh man, paella is one of my favorites! I spent a few months in Mallorca several years ago, and I’ve been craving a true Spanish paella ever since 🤤🥘
Stage three: go to venta el toro in Santa Lucia near Vejer de la frontera and order chips (fries for Americans) with fried eggs and some of the best ibérico oozing oils all over. Boss move
Exactly. The venta del toro is an unassuming little place in el quinto cono a la derecha but still made it into uk press as one of the top ten dishes in Spain. Silly in a way considering everything else one can eat in the number one country for food but at the same time, the huevos rotos there are awesome!
That place rocks. There’s a natural spring and roman aqueduct. It’s year round so when the entire province is brown and dry in the height of summer, pop down there and sit on outside terrace built over the bubbling brook surrounded by lush green with flowers everywhere and eat magnificent simple food. They have great cheese too
