Actual breaking news today:
Atomic.Finance, the self-custodial bitcoin-only investment program is immediately ending operations for U.S. customers citing regulatory risk.
No public announcement has been made yet, but they have emailed all customers and communicated this via Discord.
(I was a TestFlight user working with a small amount.)
Another one bites the dust.

Land of the free! π€‘π
Probably today. Still waiting for their official blog post.
Fucking Fed fucking up everything damnit.
Is there other options like this?
I donβt think so. I would never use any custodial service. It was built from the ground up for self custody using DLCs. You always hold your own private keys with them and have to manually approve every reinvestment cycle. It was really unique.
Yeah I didnβt think so.
Now would I.
This is inevitable. It's a registered company. Companies are a branch of the state. They do what the state says or they get shut down.
This is why there's no such thing as a Bitcoin company. The state as we know it and Bitcoin as we know it can't both survive.
Luckily due to regulatory clampdown?
Or previous nefarious ongoing in the business?

Nothing nefarious. They simply canβt afford the legal headaches.
Ok interesting. Any idea what domicile they will choose instead? Also which law is it specifically theyβre frustrated by?

I donβt. Itβs a climate of fear. Thatβs what the regulators want.
The US doing all it can to not lead the world.
And they think this is leading.

Another piece of evidence of the regulatory persecution of the last months.
What do you mean?
Bitcoin is happening outside of the socialist US.
Sucks! But was inevitable sadly
