Why does Primal wallet ask for personal info? It isn't enough for KYC so what is it for? @primal @miljan It says it won't be shared publicly, but who is it shared with and how is it stored? image

I think you can use NWC on the Web and Android, but not on iOS… they could do something like @jb55 as a “hidden” feature where you can pair it on web and it would use it on iOS. But not sure.

What if I just lie? I didn't know there was a form of valid KYC that does not require actual ID or 3rd party verification...?
Android is immensely more free, flexible and multimodal than iOS, if that's what you're talking about. But you don't even need to use Android to use Amethyst, you can use GrapheneOS, LineageOS and other OS.

Android is garbage, you’re not telling me anything I don’t already know. In your hurry to try and push modified OS’, you neglected to mention graphene only works on pixel because it’s the only device that will allow you to relock the bootloader. You can’t do that with LOS or any other custom rom, so I am not sure why you would even mention them. An unlocked bootloader means I can wipe your device and FRP will not save you, you just lost your device. Now I will be the first one to point out some not so great things about iOS, I’m not a sheep, because what does make it great, far outweighs what you give up by switching. And for the record, iOS works out of the box, I don’t have to modify anything. I don’t need to flash a custom kernel because Google’s sucks. I don’t need to flash a custom rom because the stock rom is a bloated mess, not to mention you lose all of your proprietary features unless a developer sees worth in reverse engineering. Kdragon FTW And let’s not forget my favorite part, that lovely message that says your device is running a modified OS, on boot up. No thanks…

Android is far from perfect, but it's still the best we got, or do you know about something better?

If you don’t mind the restrictions, iOS is where it’s at. I did everything you possibly could with an android device and it was fun for awhile. Then the custom rom scene dried up because Alex retired and Google removed the dedicated recovery partition which Yes, Android is very customizable, for awhile it was actually fun being a part of some well known rom teams. Then Google killed of the custom recovery partition, which meant you were either taking a chance using TWRP’s modified files or you had to tether and use fastboot, and Alex retired so no one was working on new features or bringing up new OS versions. Now it’s just copy/paste post and pat yourself on the back. It got to a point where the downsides far outweighed the upsides so I made the switch. It’s been difficult in some ways, I can’t argue that, but the overall experience, IMHO, has been a lot better than anything Android offers.

Oops, forgot to erase the rest of the second paragraph and I can’t change it delete because of Nostr, grrr.
just lying didn't work for me. a friend told me it will only work if you previously had address in that state. (strike doesn't work in NY) i still mainly use primal because it's so clean and enjoyable, but every time i want to zap from my mobile, i have so open damus instead. its my daily reminder: this is just the beginning of freedom tech. 🪷
