If you don’t mind the restrictions, iOS is where it’s at. I did everything you possibly could with an android device and it was fun for awhile. Then the custom rom scene dried up because Alex retired and Google removed the dedicated recovery partition which Yes, Android is very customizable, for awhile it was actually fun being a part of some well known rom teams. Then Google killed of the custom recovery partition, which meant you were either taking a chance using TWRP’s modified files or you had to tether and use fastboot, and Alex retired so no one was working on new features or bringing up new OS versions. Now it’s just copy/paste post and pat yourself on the back. It got to a point where the downsides far outweighed the upsides so I made the switch. It’s been difficult in some ways, I can’t argue that, but the overall experience, IMHO, has been a lot better than anything Android offers.
