How do you even find these places?!
I’m a journalist 😊
I’ve heard this in passing before but what is it please?
Great stuff. I was happy that I found your profile here 😁
It's a 20k inhabitants city in southern Brazil. A guy started orangepilling local business and now there are more than 200 accepting sats. It's more than lugano but without the 10m francs from the city hall. And it really has a circular btc economy now, check on btcmap. I think it's the biggest city with a btc circular economy and without a bukele or lugano mayor, it came from the local people in a total voluntary way.
And as a big success it has influenced other towns and city around, and other bitcoiners in Brazil to start orangepilling the same way, another case is São Tomé das Letras in MG. A nice way to practice your Portuguese.😉
Rolante in the middle:

A real one!
Zapped for your contribution.
Okay yeah I need to get flights
Doing my best 🫡
Great stuff, keep up the good work.
To all the Bitcoin haters: GO FUCK YOURSELF! It's so NOT ABOUT YOU.

Wow, that was really unexpected and cool to see!
Why are they using Bitcoin there? Is it because it's difficult to get a bank account?
National fiat currency seems like a relatively less terrible shitcoin in terms of USD exchange rate over time.
