For mobile, definitely. For desktop, we’ve considered making a sidebar with text or just adding tooltips. I think page navigation on wider screens feels more natural when it’s handled at the top, but that might just be me.

top and/of left side nav bar should be nice for desktop, with enough filtering, sorting and searching possibilities, you can keep everything at the top tbh

Yes you can, either with an extension or by inputting it manually and choosing a passphrase to encrypt your nsec locally (not recommended).
