If I didn't have ads removed on YouTube I wouldn't use it 😂
Regular web too. Sometimes removing ads gets rid of half the page content. It's kind blowing.

And...uninstalling what I was told would work by initial search results... look at this bs
That's going to be the case with any of them probably. They are viewing the entire web page source and modifying it before you view to remove ads. This is why it's a good idea to get a trusted & open source one. It looks like that one is fwiw.
On my phone the VPN I use does all the ad blocking.
