Creepy seaweed/algal thing in the ocean today! Grossed me out and fascinated me at the same time 😂

I did come across a grumpy spider today. He was none too impressed at being disturbed. I chose not to wrangle with him. image
I’m not sure what the go is this year, but there are spiders everywhere here 😳They must have had a good winter! It’s not unusual to see spiders, but this year I’ve found the number to be next level! 🕸️🕷️🕸️🕷️ No need for fake webs at Halloween 😬

I don't actually mind spiders but you have a whole different level of them over there. Having a spider that can kill you, is frankly ridiculous😂😂.
😂😂 I’m a catch and release person. You just learn to be very very careful. Thankfully the dangerous ones tend not to come inside the house. 😮‍💨

Well that's something, at least🙏🏻. Is it the Hunstman that's absolutely massive🤔.
Oh! I like it!!! 💙🤍 Though I would prefer a ladybird for me🐞
Yes! And those suckers do come inside occasionally! Though they are not venomous (to humans) 🙏😅
That seaweed look can be deceptive. Bryozoans are colonies of tiny filter-feeding animals that just look like plants, and one marine species is even called hornwrack or hard seaweed because people mistook it for algae. If the slimy stuff is in jelly-like blobs, that fits too.
Thank you for sharing that! 🙏 Though I may regret knowing about them as I fall asleep tonight 😳😅😂
Sea-demons?? Do I want to know what they are 🙀? My mind thinks deadly jellyfish or octopus or shark. But that’s probably because of where I live 🥹
"When sea angels want to mate, they will draw in close to one another and turn their reproductive organs inside-out. They’ll proceed to bind themselves together using a specialised sucker, which leaves a nasty scar when they finally separate." This is from the sea ANGEL article you linked
Wasn’t researching. They just appeared in my feed 😊 If they are now in my maritime fears databank, I feel it’s only fair to share!
