Still just digging into what seems like another undesired shitshow in the Bitcoin space of discussions, but it seems like it's about increasing the size limit of op_return from 80 bytes to something like 4mb? And because of that there's obviously a concern of vile media being added there. What's the reason they want to increase the size? Because I don't see one.

Still digging, but similar to other similar situations in the past (ones that passed unfortunately, and ones that didn't), from increased block size, recursion, and ordinals/inscriptions, all of them felt like they were unnaturally pushed and are useless from the POV that Bitcoin should be used for transacting money only, and I'm having that same feeling again with that op_return size increase: there's no need.
