It will strengthen the shadow economy. Torrenting, Tor, Nostr everything will be seeing a real revival.

People which are not playing the game soon cannot access the normal internet anymore. Thank you to all the developer which developing against that ID trend.

This is why I voted for a swiss government digital ID. Not because I need it. But for everyone that wants to use a digital ID to get a publicly issued one from the government. Not from the surveillance companies trying to replace government bit for bit without any democratic influence on their actions.

I think there are already a lot, but they don't use crypto currencies yet because real cash (bank notes) still exist. Business for money under the table is huge everywhere and probably statistically extremely underreported. Germany, Italy, Spain, anywhere I look, it is common. Bitcoin doesn't solve this, but privacy coins like Zano, Dash, etc do. They will at one point be adopted and Bitcoin will loose

I know it seems odd. But whev a service only allows usage, when offering identification. Do you prefer people that sign up for a surveillance companies service in order to identify or rather a more privacy respecting public implementation developed with a states fund?

You can. But I acknowledge, that reality plays for all. It is not enough only to think about me. And even, whe I would not want to use a digital ID, I prefer a state issued FOSS solution over a private company propriatary solution.
