I made the mistake of thinking nostr might be a place to have interesting conversations, and now I am covered in arrows.

Well if you can bare the weight, stay around; for what I've read it looks like an interesting discussion around censorship resistance. Been saying for a while that you do not need to be totally censored to be muted in practice (but haven't got much interaction). Just a block from certain top relays and that's it... you are out or talking to the void. Why all the fuzz about such an obvious thing? It does not mean it can't be improved, it's just code at the end of the day.

He's trying to gain attention in the only way he knows how... Or the way he thinks is most effective. I've been following him on social media since 2017 to keep tabs on his projects but I'm yet to actually use one of his projects in any way.

I do not understand what happened. Is the issue just that he built an alternative (it seemed somewhat similar to Nostr when I saw it) and is critical of Nostr? All major platforms have people critical of those platforms. It's not a bad thing and we shouldn't expect anything different on a free speech platform. It's good to have multiple alternatives, not just Nostr.
