Kind of disagree with you that the youth of France are being herded where they want them to go. Like all states, the French state would much prefer to herd people, even believes it can herd people, silently, without violence. But like all states, the French state has not yet realised that people cannot be herded without consequence. This is an unconscious response to the feeling of being herded and it will be repeated everywhere until something breaks.
