I keep seeing various reports on other social media platforms that Instagram is dying, from self sabotage, to less engagement, to more spam, more ads, and more censorship. This is an area where Nostr could shine, for the most part. We just need a friendly, scrollable, media focused client.

I don't use FB or Instagram, besides this past month for #NostrNovember. But I wouldn't really say that was me using those platforms as I only post and then leave. That said, the complaints about them dying all seem to be from the above issues.
I like seeing long form blog posts in Amethyst, but I agree that a preference or a separate tab for them would be nice.
Agree. I like Amethyst's media fees only, but it only shows NIP-94 content, which doesn't include most images or videos.
Who’s going to do image storage?
Hence my for the most part comment. This is what makes it complicated. Telling people that they should create an account on nostr.build or satellite.earth to be able to upload longer videos is a bad experience.

why does this get overlooked all the time? so weird.
This is the way of all web2 platforms: build up a cool place to share content and start to extract value for shareholders at the expense of users.
The future is ours; the future is Nostr...
