That's the idea! Also why there is absolutely no reliance in HAMSTR on anything other than relays to connect to nostr for core functions. Search uses an API, for getting your notes and sending them and even zaps working fine.

My lightning setup is entirely self-hosted, with most of it in my house. There's one external VPS for lnbits to live on so that external connections can reach it without an enormous headache; but that VPS tunnels securely to my LAN for node connections. It was actually quite hellish to set up and depressingly flaky but totally worth it.
