Who enforces laws? Who resolves disputes? Without a clear authority, youโ€™d risk power vacuums, where unaccountable entities (corporations, rogue groups, or even the proposed AI agency itself) could dominate over others. Relying on nation-state authorities over digital networks solves all these issues. And you can physically leave the one you don't like.

I had a similar idea, but it would have no authority except as an arbitrator between voluntary parties. Still, there's a lot you can do with that, and it's power scales with adoption. But also he's right about replacing the judicial system, that really shouldn't be the focus. You need to do what you can with what you have. Make it useful even at the smallest scale.
