INTRODUCING: @Open Source Culture Creator Contest #2 Winners πŸ₯³ πŸŽ† WHAT ARE WE DOING? Bitcoin Wall Calendar 2026 will feature photos and artwork from bitcoiners, quotes from Satoshi Nakamoto and is marked with the important dates in Bitcoin’s history and pre-history. WHY? Why not? Why not create something that is a symbol of the collaborative nature of Bitcoin, that honors the timeless wisdom of Satoshi, that pays homage to the cultural and entrepreneurial spirit of Bitcoin, and something that is a remembrance of a long windy path that led us here? TIMELINE: 2-12 October: Collecting donations, accepting submissions from artists, promoting the contest - DONE βœ… 13-20 October: Voting on what will be included in the calendar - DONE βœ… 3-23 October: Sponsor applications open ; pre-order #zapsnag available (21k sats for 1 copy; 50k sats for 2 copies and a shoutout on the back of the calendar) - IN PROGRESS ⏳ 21-31 October: Contacting the winners, paying out the prizes, finalizing the calendar design, test print - IN PROGRESS ⏳ November 2025: Calendars available for the public, sending copies out to community hubs, sponsors and winners who chose it as prize - COMING SOON πŸš€ So... WHO ARE THE WINNERS? There were 9 works that qualified (got at least 1 vote) in total. The submission that got the most votes was... @npub1jdtd...h0c8's sole submission: THE CITADEL 🏰 image The runners-up were: submission number 3 by @❒ PictureRoom: image And submission number 2 by @Anna N Artist: image The other works that received votes were (in randomized order) Submission number 1 and 2 by @Mx12art: Submission number 2 by @cityalley21: image Submissions number 1 and 3 by @Anna N Artist: Submission number 1 by @❒ PictureRoom: image Big thank you to everybody who participated, voted, zapped, shared info about this project & event or supported in any other way! It means a lot πŸ™ All winners have been contacted, most #Bitcoin prizes have been paid out, now all that's left to do is some formatting, a tiny bit of designing and if all goes well, we'll have actual physical calendars in our hands by November 🀠 Special shout out to the sponsor companies: @wave.space πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί , @Angor , @Bringin | The Complete β‚Ώitcoin App and @Whitepaper Books who are helping make this (and hopefully many other) similar projects a reality. My fellow plebs, if I may put this on your hearts - I know we all want each other to succeed, but often times, it is hard to distinguish genuine intentions from malfeasance. Just like with humans, with companies - pay attention to the small gestures. Pay attention to how they treat their most lowly customer, or someone who isn't a customer at all. This can say a lot about where one's heart is - and businesses & brands, like humans, are in a very real sense living organisms. Who we share our money, time - energy - with, is of utmost importance. Where attention goes, energy flows - and where energy flows - grows, glows, lives and thrives. If you made it this far reading this note, I will thank you again, good sir or madam. Thank you for paying attention to art; and thank you for having a heart 🧑 πŸ’œ 🀍 β€” @Kontext, Satoshee Strategy

Congrats to the winners of this so called open source competition! Clearly, the plebs on NOSTR do not value my work. My work is ALL about MEMES and text related to BTC and Satoshi, including the words OPEN SOURCE and Bull Market and my characters, including BUZZBEE, who defends the Bitcoin Memeplex! Apparently, NONE of my 3 works were up voted to be on the Calendar in spite of the ONLY comment on @SATOSH.EE regarding voting being a positive note about my work! Thanks for the bad UX, in the future I will not participate in this process of finding the most boring art works possible to fill a so called "open source" print calendar which will include a seascape with a haunted old European castle, (HOW Euro-centric), some abstract art that looks like finger painting (What is that all about anyhow?) and some Settler Colonial photos of Ye olde Homestead on the Prairies (on lands STOLEN from First Peoples....) It's all lip service. It's Not BTC Art and it's NOT OPEN SOURCE. It is possible that a BTC Calendar, with no regard for the moral imagination of BTC and it's GLOBAL impact, is now going to print and will hang on the walls of boring plebs and shop owners who like vanilla AMERICAN "Norman Rockwell" style art? YAWN. Wake me up when their 12 month calendar year is over... please πŸ˜‰ In the meantime, please stay tuned for the @Another 13 Moon Woman artist profile in the 2nd edition of the @Bitcoin Art Magazine to be printed in 2026 along with my article entitled "Bitcoin Art Vibes" and for my 2nd animation to show at the @BitcoinFilmFestival in the spring of 2026. Currently, my Independent Animation character, The African Bitcoin Queen is at @Bitfest Bitfest where she was invited, in the true spirit of open source, to do a Colab with @BitPopArt (see attached poster where she is in the top left corner... ) Blessings to all plebs who claim to understand what OPEN SOURCE really means --- AKA --CYBERPUNK ---keep on living your your boring normie lives ---one day it will all make sense to you... πŸ˜‰ cuz: "The cyberpunk ethos shares a deep and foundational connection with open source community values, primarily through a shared commitment to decentralization, individual autonomy, and resistance to centralized control. Both movements are rooted in a DIY (do-it-yourself) spirit, where individuals take control of technology and information rather than relying on large institutions." ......aka ---->>>> established ways of being, communicating and making ART. #Bitcoin #Cyberpunk #Memes #Memeplex #Art #Film #Video https://npub154jjqfud0czwmeyglm4mntdd6l9dxuek8997nffrarlx5dxrdt8seg0epr.blossom.band/06d0ac0cf7eac17de117c8e99d5bf0b18f7f0fc6a 32d287beca154b0aecd314d.jpg
