I've been sucked into computer stuff lately, which i know nothing about. I'm enjoying learning. I've wanted to for a long time, but through it, my ego has been struggling to maintain a heartbeat. I feel like a complete moron, and too many hours of that in a week is bad for the soul. I had to take a few minute to do something with my hands. I looked at this pile of birch bark I've collected & remembered seeing fancy 'fire starters' made of random forest floor sweepings and wax, on etsy or somewhere like that, and thinking " wow, what a scam. I could do that". So I did. I gathered up some pine needles and juniper berries from my yard. I snipped up some birch bark and the grapefruit rind trimmings left over from my bergamot box experiment. I piled it all in little cups & poured beeswax over them. Bam! Fancy little fire starters for the outdoorsy cosplayers. They are cute & they smell incredible... but I don't think I have the heart to shove 6 of these in a box and charge $15 for them ๐Ÿ˜… image

Its not a scam it's 'exclusive' or 'hand crafted' or whatever tag you want to throw at it. You think it's a scam because it's a load of stuff lying around for you but in reality people don't even have that stuff lying around for them to harvest. So embrace the scam ๐Ÿ˜‚... Maybe off 7 for $15 instead
That's awesome! I'm starting to go in direction of understanding nostr better and it's humbling already. The number of things I'm clueless about after being around for over a year is ... well, embarrassing ๐Ÿ˜… so be it
๐Ÿ˜‚ thats ok. This is a whole new breed of cat. My learning curve has had plenty of embarrassing moments, too. For me, the most embarrassing moments root around stuff I probably would have learned in high school, if I had actually attended class like a good kid. But, alas... The thing is; it's easy enough to use nostr for 1 thing, but the moment you want to do more than that 1 thing or have a problem that you need to fix, you open pandora's box. Once you have that ๐Ÿ˜ณ moment, you start realizing all the things you could be doing so you start learning... which is good. It's a necessity in controlling your own experience.
lol, lucky for me,attended class ๐Ÿ˜Ž I'm sure there will be plenty more crap surprises ahead, but prob some pretty good ones too

Yes, that's a given ๐Ÿ˜. Unless of course you insist on ignoring all the money you have lying around the floor outside your house, then perhaps you are so kind of weird alien โœจ๐Ÿ‘ฝ๐Ÿ’œ

It can certainly wear an ya. I was a technical director back in the 00's for a massive corporation and thought when I got back into computers over the last few months it would be a breeze. Fucks sake was I wrong there. PowerShell had just been introduced back then lol. So much more has happened than I imagined all the way down to using GPUs for compute. Different world.
Yeah, not everyone's this creative. Don't undersell yourself, @Dawn - it's worth something to someone. Maybe not $15, but it's a cute idea and worth a few bucks
