People on the board of opensats have a track record of creating closed source products and openly harassing devs of products that are actually open source.
I'm sure someone has done a writeup about NVK forking Trezor to create the coldcard then closing the source and harassing the devs at foundation and seedsigner among other anti open source actions taken. Note that seedsigner wasn't even a fork but still got relentless negative press run by NVK for their FOSS wallet project.

My understanding is that coldcard is open source. The passport is made from it. But they don’t allow you to resell it.
Not open source, source verifiable.
For someone selling a product running code they got from someone else's repo it is a bit hypocritical to say no one else can profit downstream from you don't you think?
