The relay operator (the machine storing the note) would have to delete the note for that to be the case in this scenario- if the relay operator does not honor the deletion the note does not expire The notes are gift wrapped (“encrypted”) with ephemeral keys that destruct Meaning the notes may persist HOWEVER, if decryption keys were intercepted then the anonymity would be broken (this is not unlikely in a set up like the ones being used by nostr users) as keygen is severely compromised in most set ups All of this nonsense is going to put people in danger View quoted note →
