Most people will never attempt bonsai because their time preference is simply too high.

It's your duty to find a way to save it. No excuses.
I want to do this. I have an azalea that would be a candidate. I have not done it yet due to fear. A nurseryman I worked with once said that bonsai take more care than dogs. Do you think so?
A dog can move around to a more comfortable spot. He can look around for food of you forget. He has some power over his life.
A tree has you and God. So Yes it's probably more care in a way.
