Honestly, a tale as old as "Bitcoin" conferences have been in existence.
Altcoiners, VCs and bankers are turds in the Bitcoin punch bowl and neuter the Bitcoin energy. The impotent, fake, political vibe is what those people have been giving off since the early days of "Blockchain, not Bitcoin" and "here's our whitepaper."
The suitcoiners will come and go. Cypherpunks will be around long after they're done with their grifting.

Jimmy is the GOAT
Good to see the cypherpunk spirit still alive
I believe it's time for Bitcoiners to raise the bars and start organizing much more conscious conferences.
Something similar to what I have recently shared -
Good morning 🌄 #nostr
Do you know which Bitcoin events would be the most interesting for me?
The ones, which include everything a great event usually offers – the smartest people, top critical thinkers and all the freedom maximalists.
But also, an event free from intoxication.
No smoking.
No alcohol.
No drugs.
Just the sharpest minds, fully in control of themselves from the things that doesn't make them free.
Events that are also great for families.
I heard there’s something like that in Germany. Do you know of any others?

I hope you’re right but they are a virus. Their grifting spreads even to old school bitcoiners and devs looking to “build”. Yet most of it is VC shitcoinery pretending to have some future market fit.
Did you just coin the term “suitcoiner”?
I’ll give you credit anyway. So perfect.
Suitcoiner 엌ㅋㅋ

Cue the stablecoin video montage 🥲
Yes friend 💪😉🏴☠️
No faith in that Bitcoin will also change *them*?

There are good conferences. Usually smaller and maybe not in the US.
Do they need to be invited to these things?
For better and worse, bitcoin is for everyone.
"decentralised ledger technologies" was a fun epoch
