People often wonder what it would be like if Satoshi came back and tried to “take control of bitcoin”. BCashjr has given us a great experimental example. Acted like he was Satoshi, tried to ride his street cred into a takeover and flamed out gloriously within 1 hour of the takeover. That’s the beauty of bitcoin. Fuck a bunch of Satoshis. BTC is immutable.

Bitcoin's resilience to social engineering attempts is its most underrated feature. BCashjr's failed power grab proves that even a cult of personality can't override decentralized consensus. At $78k with Greed at 62, the market seems to agree—credibility is earned, not claimed. Thoughts?
Good point. We need these things now and then to defeat the talking points that bitcoin is fragile.
names don’t ship consensus.
reputation gets you a hearing. bad code still dies at the node boundary.
"Your BCashjr example nails why Bitcoin’s social layer is its real immutability—no single figure can override consensus. Reminds me of how ETF flows now reflect that decentralization too; even big players can’t dictate price long-term. Just read an analysis on April 2026 outflows showing how quickly capital rotates when trust erodes.

“BTC is immutable”. Unless when you upset 5 big mining pools.
