If I could learn code, maybe I could eventually join one of these Nostr dev teams and work remote.
I would only need $2,500-5000 and I would be in Thailand.

Nobody has to learn to code anymore really , you have to understand how code works thats all
I understand how it works just not how to write it.
Use openhands and a llm with tivey
I'd assume you need way less than 2500-5000. With that you can leave pretty much everywhere in Europe. I'd have thought Thailand might be cheaper
Could be, I want enough to also be able to return to the US sometimes cause my family is here.

Why Thailand?
I seen this video recently "debunking" all these influencers that make videos where they say they're living in Thailand and working remotely as some "escape the matrix" type grift.
Most of the people they showed had only spent a few months in Thailand and things didn't really work out, they wasted their money and went back home then make content larping as successful.
Other lied about their prior wealth and their connections they already had in Thailand pretending to be some poor person who took a risk and made it when it's more like their parents are paying their rent etc.
Thailand is probably great if you avoid the luxury lifestyle trap those influencers promote and actually learn the language.
I’m not set on Thailand, it’s just a beautiful country.
